Hi there.
In case you were wondering where I’ve been, I’d like to report that I’ve come down with a (self-diagnosed) case of blogging impotence. How it works is, I have a post that I want to write, and I sit down to write it, and after about two sentences I get completely blocked. Even when I already know what I want to say. Every day that goes by adds a little more pressure to perform, which is not helping things. It’s also affecting my correspondence with people, which is almost worse.
I usually fall into a winter slump, but this is at least six weeks earlier than it usually starts. I’m hoping this is something other than seasonal affective issues, so that I might be able to snap out of it. Fresh air, sunlight, and exercise do seem like they’d hit the spot, though. Winter’s no good for any of those things.
I hoped writing this would make me feel a little better. Maybe I just need to give it a little time to take effect.
I won’t be far.

I hear ya! I always write through it, or as I like to say – bust down the wall with my powerful command of the English language (or something like that). Here’s to hoping you find a cure for what ails you.
Amen!! I refer to it as ‘blogger burnout’ and the pressure to perform is so real!! Just to let you know, I still follow and love the blogs that take breaks whether they’re one day or 2 weeks!! In my opinion, if someone stops following me because I am erratic in my number of posts a week I don’t need or want them following me in the first place! We all have to live life! Take care!
Hiya Amy, I’m sure you absolutely LOVE it when people give you ideas of what to write about but I do recall you hinting at something a while back…..You posted what some poll (can’t remember if it was the Fids & Kamily or the top albums of another website) listed as 2009’s best kids albums–or perhaps it was your top 10, not quite sure. I digress. I thought I remembered you saying that you were going to post which ones were actually your favorites. I have been looking forward to reading your list. Maybe you posted it and I missed it. Maybe you never actually wrote that and I’m just nuts.
